Paul Fuchs is a national champion in rowing, a former executive at USRowing, rowing coach at the NYAC and a 1993 Hall of Fame inductee.

Fuchs served as Vice President of USRowing in the early 1990s and sat on the organization's Board of Directors for many years thereafter. As coach of the NYAC rowing team in the 1990s, Fuchs helped guide the Club to success at many World Championships, Pan American Games and Olympic Games. 

In addition to rowing, Fuchs other passion was sailing. In 1977, he won the America's Cup aboard the Courageous, which was captained by media mogul Ted Turner.
